The dried timber from aspenis stable and resistant to external influence, doesn’t rot, and doesn’t warp. Aspen wood is dense, but it is easy to process. It is homogeneous, and not cracking, and badly pricking. Aspen mostly using in exterior: shingle roof aspen makes with unique silvery tinge; its also using in the manufacture of furniture (not gummy and easy sanding and finishing).
Aspen is almost without knots and easily withstand fluctuations of humidity and temperature, it is less heat conductive than Softwood, that’s why it is widely used in saunas. Products from aspen do not rot and get musty.
